Comprehensive Eye Exam
During your eye exam we will look to see if you will benefit from eyeglasses or corrective lenses to see at a distance or near. We will also look for the presence of Cataracts, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, as well as other conditions of the eye.
If you have Diabetes or high blood pressure, we recommend an eye exam at least once per year. We may recommend a dilated eye exam.
Dilated Eye Exam
Special drops may be put in your eyes to make the dark part of the eye, the pupil, larger so that we can see inside the eye better. We may use these if you have Diabetes, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration along with other visual conditions.Retinal Photography
A picture is worth a thousand words. With a picture of the eye we can look for changes due to Diabetes, Glaucoma, high blood pressure and other diseases. If you have Glaucoma, we may also recommend a visual field test.
Visual Field Testing
When monitoring Glaucoma, this procedure is a necessary part of eye care. It can help us to determine if vision problems originated in the eye, the optic nerve, or in the Cerebral Cortex (brain).
Children’s Eye Exams
We think kids are fun. Nearly eighty percent of learning is due to good vision. Visual development is critical from birth until 7-8 years of age. Your child should have his/her first eye exam by at least the age of three.
